The Canadian Association for Photographic Art is the only national organization representing photographers at all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. We are a community of photographers and photography clubs dedicated to promoting photography as an art form, and to providing educational information for photographers.

When your club joins CAPA as a member, you will be connecting with almost 100 photography clubs across Canada representing thousands of photographers. Your club will be kept informed of competitions, events and conferences that provide instruction and photography opportunities, enabling your members to participate and grow in the art of photography.

CAPA member clubs have access to a national network of CAPA Certified Judges who volunteer their time for club competitions and image evaluations. CAPA member clubs can also serve as a host club for a CAPA Judging Course, with discounts for club members to attend.

There are five CAPA zones in Canada: Atlantic, Ontario, Quebec, Pacific and Prairies. Each of these zones has a Director who is part of the Board of Directors and represents the best interests of the clubs within that zone. Directors also liaise with CAPA Member Clubs in their zone to facilitate communications among the clubs and provide support.

There are many benefits of club membership in CAPA. See them here on this page.
