Join the Canadian Association for Photographic Art for the 2026 Coast to Coast Photo Walk!
On September 19, 2026, photographers across Canada will step outside simultaneously to capture the beauty, diversity, and spirit of our country. Whether you are a seasoned pro with a DSLR or mirrorless, or a hobbyist with a smartphone, you are invited to join a local walk in your community.
How It Works
- Find a Walk: Check below to find a registered club walk near you.
- Join the Group: Meet up with your local host club at the designated start time.
- Capture & Connect: Explore your local area, share tips with other photographers, and enjoy a day of creativity.
- Share Your Best: After the walk, participants are encouraged to upload their favorite shot of the day to our National Competition.

SHARE YOUR IMAGES ON THE WALK WEBSITE GALLERY AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS
We encourage all groups to submit a selection of their photos to CAPA during and after your walk. These images will be showcased on our Photo Walk Image Gallery, the Photo Walk Facebook Group, and a selection of your best work will be showcased in our Winter issue of the CAPA magazine, highlighting participation from across the country and celebrating the diverse talent within our photographic community.
CAPA PHOTO WALK 2026 IMAGE GALLERY
You will have the ability to share your images and video clips in our CAPA Photo Walk Gallery.
Make sure that you name your files as follows: “LastName-ClubName-Location-PhotoNumber”. This will allow your images to be credited and identified. NOTE – there is no option to add labels or hashtags to the images so your file name will provide your identifier.
All photos are protected from “Right Click” copying so other individuals cannot download your images. Attempting to do so will open the following note – “These photos are copyrighted by their respective owners. All rights reserved. Unauthorized use prohibited.“
You will be able to upload photos and videos with the following limits:
- Max file size for photos: 500MB and 4 Gigapixels
- Max file size for videos: 3 GB with 20 min capacity
On the day of the walk, registered participants and walk leaders will be provided with a link to upload their images as well as the ability to download the CAPA Walk App to their mobile device for ease of access.

Showcase the walk and the images from your area through your social media and ours. Join the Photo Walk Facebook Group by clicking the button below and share your images.
Make sure that you use the event hashtags (#). The main hashtag for the walk is #CAPAWalk (#l’ACAPMarche). You can also add zone specific hashtags to highlight your location;
