New CAPA Web Manager

Announcing Sheena Wilkie as CAPA Web Manager

Wilkie is a long time and enthusiastic player in the photography community. She’s a passionate artist who enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise through presentations and adult instruction.

After twenty years in traditional communications, she returned to complete her post secondary education and received an Honours in the New Media Communications and Design program at BCIT.  After graduating, Wilkie continued as an instructor at BCIT.  She has also designed and developed websites and multimedia presentations for the RCMP, and other government and non-profit agencies.

While creating content for websites and presentations, she picked up a camera – and that was her defining moment. This new way to share stories became everything – including life as a portrait photographer.

Sheena is no stranger to CAPA, she has been a member for 20 years and has served in many capacities. She is the former Vice-President, former Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Camera magazine, former Web Manager, and a certified CAPA photography judge. She has been awarded a Fellowship and Honorary lifetime membership. Sheena is thrilled to be back in her former position. “While I enjoyed my break, I missed the people, so I am very excited to be back working with my fellow CAPA members.”
