Calgary after 20 Years
After 20 years, the Canadian Camera Conference, CCC2019, returns to Calgary, Alberta. Home of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede, Calgary is a vibrant modern city with small town western hospitality. We have something for everyone – river surfing and kayaking on the beautiful Bow River, the National Music Centre which is both a Canadian music treasure and an architectural masterpiece, the Flames and Stampeders for sports fans and restaurants and craft breweries for foodies. And of course, there’s that group of mountains just an hour or so west of the city…
CCC2019 boasts 14 talented and engaging image-makers who are already preparing their presentations on portraiture, landscape and wildlife photography, astrophotography and much more. The conference is being held on the beautiful SAIT campus with accommodations, presentations and the banquet all in one place. Located just north of downtown Calgary and on the LRT transit line, getting around the city is a breeze. In fact, bring your family and make a vacation out of it.
Held on the heels of the Calgary Stampede, there are pre- and post-conference phototours as well as workshops during the conference. Enjoy extended trips through the unparalleled beauty of the Rockies, the otherworldly Badlands to the east and the rich cowboy history of Alberta and Waterton Lakes to the south. You can also enjoy city walks and a photo excursion to the world-renowned Calgary Zoo. The sky is the limit.
