Title: “Yellowstone Wolf Lamar Pack 6”

"It took several years and four trips, but in April 2011, I finally got what I had been looking for: a decent shot of one of the wolves in Yellowstone National Park.  This yearling is estimated to be two years old and is a member of the Lamar Valley pack. For several days prior, we observed wolf tracks in the snow, and then one morning she appeared for a few minutes.  Although hesitant, the wolf did not seem to be fearful.  But fortunately she had a healthy dose of skepticism to humans and therefore maintained her distance."
